Lumbar spine problems, disc problems, spinal stenosis, sciatica and back pain.

Fees, Training & Background:

Mr Bajekal completed his medical schooling in JIPMER, Pondicherry and his MS in Orthopaedics from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi.

Rajiv came to the UK in 1992 and worked in Norwich as a basic surgical trainee for the Royal Free/ RNOH Registrar/Senior Registrar rotation and completed his MCh from Liverpool as an external candidate. He obtained a Consultant post with Doncaster/Bassetlaw NHS trust in 1998 but left to pursue his current post at Barnet, where his wife Nitu also practises.

Mr Bajekal has an interest in sciatica and back pain. He has developed a pragmatic approach to managing back pain and sciatica with non-surgical techniques, injections and minimally invasive techniques. He regularly performs discectomy, decompressions and spinal fusions by minimally invasive techniques.
